Catalonia is gastronomy

Catalonia is a country whose traditions go back more than a thousand years, a land with its own culture and language, a mild Mediterranean climate and an unrivalled natural diversity. It is a country built on a wealth of contrasts that make its customs, traditions and people unique.

Immerse yourself in everything that Catalonia has to offer and discover its beautiful villages, its music and its rich heritage, or get down and dirty with nature, do business or relax on the beach.

Catalonia is gastronomy holidays

The things that make Catalonia different from other places are also evident in its gastronomic culture, which combines products from the land and the sea with tradition and innovation. It has a wealth of quality home-grown products and exceptional cooks, and a range of businesses that offer us the chance to sample its amazing fare, such as cookery courses, exquisite meals, wine tasting, gastronomy routes and over 300 food fairs around Catalonia throughout the year. In all, a vast array of activities that both enrich the culture and tickle the taste buds.

Sampling Catalonia’s fare is a great experience that will leave you speechless: so give it a try!

Gastronomy Holidays Club

Turisme de Catalunya has brought together many of the businesses and organisations allowing us to “sample” Catalonia in the Gastronomy Holidays Club. In the Culture and Gastronomy Workshop you will be able to meet all of the members of this club, which range from hotels and restaurants to producers, with service businesses, groups of cooks, associations and other tourism agents and organisations in between, all of whom can help you discover the land and the landscape through gastronomic experiences. We invite you to discover what they have to offer in this workshop. Enjoy!
